DOF won the KIPA award at “IP Management Competition”.

DOF announced that it recently won the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA) Chairman Award at the 13th Intellectual Property (IP) Management Competition held at Daejeon Convention Center.

Hosted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office and Korea Invention Promotion Association, the IP Management Competition is designed to share corporate know-how and revitalize IP management by discovering cases of excellent results through IP management.

DOF was honored with the Korea Invention Promotion Association Chairman Award in recognition of achieving excellent corporate performance through active intellectual property management.

DOF is a company leading the digital dentistry around the world by developing dental 3D scanners and milling machines with its own technology. It has 12 technology patents and 5 design patents related to 3D scanning which is the key technology in the high-tech medical field and secures competitiveness in intellectual property rights. It also has completed 11 additional applications for patent technologies used in the development of intra-oral scanners and platforms scheduled to be released in the first half of next year. It also operates branches in Germany, the United States, and Japan based on its intellectual properties and exports products to more than 70 countries around the world.

Mr. Heungsik Shim, the director of DOF’s R&D center, said, “we are very happy to be awarded as an excellent company in IP management.
